The town is dominated by the Castle which was built by in the days of the Roman Empire. Both the Castle and the Walls, which served the town as a military stronghold throughout the centuries, have been carefully preserved so that their historical and cultural significance survives today.

An ideal environment for artists, photographers and all who love history. The square towers indicate buildings founded by the Moors and the round towers were constructed by the Romans.
